Welcome and thank you.....

Described as the foremost international schools music festival in New Zealand, the event offers participants 3 days of full on music involvement plus the opportunity to experience the Maori culture and make friends for life.
We are booking seats now to get best airfares in 2008 !
This is an urgent request to express your interest NOW as the event....July 1 to July 6 2008.....overlaps parts of the Pope's visit and World Youth Day. And will affect all flights and prices at this time.
Many of our school music contacts will receive a separate letter regarding the
importance of expressing your interest now. If you don't receive this letter from us then make sure you contact us immediately. We require an indication of your intention to participate in Rhapsody Rotorua 2008 so we can book seats as soon as flights open shortly for this period; and not when the flights are full. This will guarantee you won't miss and your group will receive the best price.
Initially we need no deposit for the flight bookings but need to know that all being well you intend to travel. Deposits of $100 per

Who needs Sheep?
A highlight of this year’s Rhapsody Rotorua opening Country Carnival was not
the Mayoral opening, nor the roll call, the Maori welcome or the hip hop
dancers, not even the unlimited supply of Hot Dogs and Hamburgers. It was
the Dance Party when 200 students went on stage at the Agrodome and climbed
the display pyramid that the 19 varieties of sheep climb during their show.
It is always memorable to see the students use the full stage and truly
enjoy themselves. All students performed musical numbers from the Rocky Horror Show, YMCA and
the Macarena. The students had the place jumping as they did again on the
last night of the festival in the Rotorua Convention Centre Ballroom when
party hats were worn by all.
What they said about 2007 Rhapsody Rotorua....Maori culture rates highly!
Rhapsody Rotorua much more than music:
“The tour was really well organised. The way the locals participate was
wonderful. The performances at the schools were a great experience. This
tour was more than a music tour. It was a lot more. This tour provided
insights into the agriculture and Maori Culture. Meeting and playing with
people from both sides of the Tasman was an awesome experience. I would love
to come next year”. … Sean Maloney Caringbah High School NSW |
Maori culture proudly endorsed:
“Meeting great musicians from Australia and New Zealand was an experience
not to be missed. I was amazed at how the New Zealand people endorsed their
Maori Culture so openly and proudly. I would never miss another educational
and cultural enlightening experience like this. I can’t wait for next time.
Many thanks to the many hours of organisation for this extravagant event!”

Message from McCauley College:
“Rhapsody Rotorua was not just a great experience in terms of performing, it
was a great way to make new friends, gain confidence and learn about correct
concert conduct. Many memories were made in Rotorua”… Daniel Tuite McCauley

Enjoyable learning experience:
“We really enjoyed the experience of playing with and talking to people from
around Australia and even some from New Zealand. It was a good challenge to
be “Chucked in” with people from other schools and then play in a big
concert. We enjoyed seeing and learning more about Maori culture and their
way of life. Thanks for an awesome tour. We hope we can do it all over
again”.

Fundraising facts
Many schools are taking advantage of the Rotary Sponsored Car Raffle to raise funds to participate in Rhapsody Rotorua 2008 or their next group tour. This fundraising method is extremely effective for there is no
cash outlay and a good profit return. Talk to us now and let us introduce you to this great
cash earner for your tour.
There are 2 raffles this financial year.
By asking students to sell a $2.00 ticket and asking people to buy 5, 10 or even 20 tickets, if 10 are sold for $20.00, $16.00 goes
towards the tour fund. Sell 20 tickets and you will make $32.00 towards your group tour fund. This is
an easy way to raise funds and mums, dads and grandparents can all sell tickets as well to
help get your group tour away.
Wine deals work well too and you can have your own bottle of wine specially labelled promoting your
group tour earn you around $50.00 a case delivered to your client. (No handling by
students or the school) Ask us now about this. Both of these ideas are helping a
great number of Australian students to travel.
WE ARE TAKING BOOKINGS NOW!
Call or email us now to talk about your tour ideas and let us work with you to make it happen.
